Introduction

Writing fan letters can be fun and exciting because you never know if a athlete, entertainer, or politician will send you a reply, an autographed photo, or who knows what! Everyone enjoys receiving mail so let's be sure the letter you send will be interesting and sincere to elicit a response from your favorite player.

 

 

The Task

You are to select your favorite celebrity, compose, and write a letter to be mailed to this player.

The Process

1. Choose and click on a celebrity resource site from the above list.

2. Type in the name of your celebrity.

3. Write down the contact address for your celebrity. *Make sure your write down all information and secondary information.

4. Write your three (3)-day journal of what you have been doing in school.

5. Give notes to teacher for teacher initials.

6. Pick up your Celebrity Cub questionnaire from Ms. Kendall

7. Compose rough draft of fan letter from notes and prior knowledge.

8. Peer edit rough draft.

9. Complete final copy of fan letter, proper format, publishing stage.

10. Complete envelope, proper format.

11. Hand in final copy of fan letter and envelope for mailing (also include rough draft).

Conclusion

After your fan letter is mailed out, the next step is to be very patient and wait for a response. It might be several weeks or longer, but don't get discouraged. If your letter is sincere, lively, and an attention getter, your chances are very good of hearing from your favorite celebrity.
