The overall premise is that "all students can learn and thus, must have equal opportunity to develop to their fullest potential." Therefore, all students should have the right to a free and appropriate education designed to assist them in reaching their goals.

Nicole M. Kendall, Ed.D.

Assistant Professor at Tennessee State University in the Department of Teaching and Learning. In addition to being an online mentor and instructor for the TN Regents Online Degree Program, she has served five years as an educator for Metro-Nashville Public Schools teaching elementary/middle school students (the Kendall Cubs).

Dr. Kendall trains teachers and students on how to incorporate technology within the classroom, as well as presents nationally and internationally on a variety of professional development topics. She has participated in a videoconferencing grant with Vanderbilt University, served as a consultant for Southern Unversity in New Orleans, and conducted workshops for Lexington (TN) City Schools and International School of Curaca'o (Netherland Antilles).

Dr. Kendall works diligently in her field preparing pre-professional educators for teaching, learning, and advocacy of children and public education through her membership with the National Education Association. She has been a invited to several NEA Student conferences with her informative presentation called, "New, but NO clue!" ---a focus on the trials and triumphs of classroom management. Nicole has been featured in Association publications and commercials for which she hopes "individuals will see the true spirit of educators who give so much to educate today's youth."

Dr. Kendall is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., International Forum of Women in eLearning, NAACP, Phi Kappi Phi Honor Society, and the United States Distance Learning Association.

This book is addressed to professionals in instructional technology like teacher, administrators, and curriculum coordinators in elementary and middle grade levels. It is also directed to rural and sub-rural school districts seeking to implement technology goals in their school improvement plans.
